Research: How NMN Supplements Contribute to Increasing NAD+ and Vitality

The study investigated the effects of oral intake of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) in healthy Japanese men, focusing on safety and the impact on NAD+ levels. The participants received different dosages of NMN (100, 250, 500 mg), and the results showed that NMN was well tolerated, with no serious side effects. Moreover, a dose-dependent increase in NAD+ and its metabolites was observed.

No significant effects on sleep quality, eye health, or vital functions were found. The increased concentrations of NAD+ metabolites indicate an efficient metabolism of NMN, even at higher dosages.

The study suggests that NMN may be a promising supplement to slow down aging processes, given the increase in NAD+ levels and the absence of adverse effects. However, more research with larger groups is needed to further confirm the clinical benefits of NMN.

The study highlights several benefits of NMN supplements:

  1. Increase of NAD+ levels: NMN supplementation effectively increased NAD+ and its metabolites, which are essential for energy production and slowing down aging processes.

  2. Good tolerability: NMN was well tolerated by the participants, even at higher dosages, without serious side effects.

  3. Potential support for healthy aging: By increasing NAD+ levels, NMN may help counteract age-related decline, which can be beneficial for the health of cells and body functions in the long term.

These findings suggest that NMN supplements are potentially safe and effective for healthy aging.
